The story of the inhabitants of a Turkish village and their financial affairs

Chance makes films, could be the undertitle to Emre Tuncers latest production "€urol Bey". The spontaneity of the moment certainly had a hand in the direction of the 20 minute strip. The setting is a small village in southwest Turkey, the contents of the story: life, or rather those deeply human facets of daily life that make every day a balancing act, on a concrete level a teetering path between calculation and amiability. The talk is of money, or of diverse (rhetorical) strategies to obtain money as quickly as possible. The stories revolve around the premise that borrowing begets worry. The universal goal is pursued in a quirky and unconventional way, leaving one question unanswered: in the end, who is the one that has sleepless nights and is on his feet day and night in the pursuit of the money?
